The Brooklyn Animal Foster Network asked for help from the SQ Foundation in 2012 when their doors were hours away from closing. Funding was provided to this worthy organization that helps so many animals in the Brooklyn, New York area.
The Brooklyn Animal Foster program established a family and individual rescue network to temporarily place pets in homes who would otherwise be euthanized in the public animal control system. They also provide support to families or individuals who for various reasons can no longer keep their animal in residence. Through their networks of sanctuaries, and by holding adoption events, the Foster program works to find homes for the pets before they are put into the public system.
In addition, the Network provides medical care for animals that have been abused, neglected and abandoned. And they help families and individuals to get their pets spayed/neutered, and educate them to care for their pets properly.
SQ believes that all life deserves to be treated with respect and care, especially the voiceless ones.
